What is it with for Scammers and being extreamly unconvincing. They might as well slap a big sticker on their advertisements that say: I'm a scam, now give me your money.

What are some of the scamming ads you see poluting either the Internet or the Television etc?

One I would have to go with is the "Get ripped in 4 weeks".

"I went on [Enter name of diet here] and lost 300 lbs and got a six-pack in three days!" No you didn't. Stop saying that. I hate you.

Also, apparently the older people in those commercials gain back 20 years of their life in their "after" pictures.

that "Get ripped in 4 weeks" is hilarious... and everywhere...

I'm going to go ahead and go to a wallpaper site. I found some hilarious banners there. I will report back with some pictures of said banners shortly.

Edit: It appears to refuse to show itself, and this makes me sad. It went something like, "Many adds are scams, but this one isn't!" It caused me to chuckle...

Hate those things so much.

The ones I hate the most are "I work from home and make (insert high and false number here) dollars a month!"

Any ad that claims I have won something is an obvious scam. Also, any e-mail that comes from somebody in Africa or refers to Africa in any way is a money scam. Let's see... How about e-mails that come into my junk folder and appear to be FROM MY ADDRESS. That's pretty blatant.

Oh, ever seen one of those dating ads? They claim there are beautiful women living near your location and usually have some "profile pictures." But, um... Most of the time those are ripped photos from a professional model. Also, in touring internet dating sites out of curiousity (don't judge me), I've seen a lot of people steal photos from models and even celebrities to use where their own pic is supposed to go.

Oh, and HEAD ON, APPLIED DIRECTLY TO THE FOREHEAD.

I hate most of the adss, and only ever click on them by accident.

I especially hate the "shoot 5 mobiles" ones.

Ugh... I hate those Cash 4 Gold commercials. Seriously, those get under mine nerves. They extend their "special bonuses" everytime they say it's a one-time deal.

[sub]And besides, your cash back is probably worth less than what it was sold for (unless its really old) due to other minerals/metals mixed in. [/sub]

Get ripped in four weeks by following this easy method...

Whoever says this, in this thread, clearly enjoys porn...

Edit: Speaking of porn, does anyone else hate it when you see 'xxx' is in 'random town only vaguely near wear you live' and wants to fuck. Or the 'looking for a girlfriend?' pictures and think... "Dayum, that girl is hot"...? Then you can neverfind more pics/movies... I hate that...

"You have won a £10,000 in a random internet poll. Please give your bank account details to us so we can give you the money"

If this was real, I think we'd all have a lot of money for taking part in the Poll threads on here.

Oh, that and the Steam scammers that try and steal your account for the games, then sell it off to someone else. Happens quite a lot actually, my gaming community,[iO] (mostly plays TF2) had a scammer on the Steam group, and quite a few people got caught out. Lucky I kept my wit's about me, because something similar to my old Windows Live Messenger account.

I'd have linked directly but I'm not sure where this falls on the line of moderation.

Well, there are people naive enough to fall for it. The idea is that if you send a scam out to 100 people, 1 of them is bound to take it seriously.

One of the most unconvincing ones was an Email from Blizzard about the Alpha Tests for Cataclysm. I knew something was wrong when they sent it to an Email I never listed.

Man those really piss me off. I get the felling that some scammer knows where I live. And then they show you some random... 'amateur' photo of some girl, it just annoying.

The evony ones are just stupid. Their whole advertising campaign is to have pictures of atractive women to ame that doesn't even have said women in it. This is just lazy.

My favourite ads are the ones that are, like, OBAMA WANTS WORKING MOMS TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL and in the background there's a silhouette of a guy in a suit dancing the twist, or a woman doing situps, or something totally and completely unrelated. They're both incredibly annoying are really funny.
