Spammers and You!

(Now there are two kinds of spammers your thinking of, this thread will be talking about the online spammers on games)

Now those who play beat 'em ups should know this more then anyone else (hell you could even be one yourself) about spammers.

So i have a great variety of games i play, like some days I'll be playing Endwars, others Call of Duty 4 then just because i can Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires. (and the ones you can can, i play online on them).

But if there is one genre of online gaming i refuse to play its Beat 'em ups, the reason is (obviously) spammers. Now about a year ago i got Burst Limit and because i never play a game online until i finish story mode, i got Broly (when it comes to Dragonball Z my favourite character is Broly) now as far as a player goes, he sucked, he was crap BUT because it was Broly i learned to play as him, and got really good at hand to hand and tapping the 4 buttons really fast (over 100 hits in ten seconds) so i thought "yeah im ready for online play" (at this point i was still naive of online play) so though it took me a while, i eventually got in a match; Round 1, mostly it was hand to hand and as you would expect i won that round fairly well, Round 2 came along, first 15 seconds were hand to hand and i halved the guys health, then he backed away, and constantly did "Big Bang Attack" and because Broly had really bad Ki moves, i got "pwned", FINAL ROUND! "Big Bang Attack! Big Bang Attack! Big Bang Attack! Big Bang Attack! Big Bang Attack!" K.O!.

As you can expect i was really annoyed (remember, i only had been playing online for a few months) but i gulped it off after a nice sip of coke and found another game, and all 2 rounds were nothing but the same move repeated over and over and over and over and over again and then i got a bit for angry and quitted the game and whacked in Devil May Cry 3 to relieve my anger.

Now to the point, spammers ruin a game, spammers play to win at the expense of fun which is why i play games, for fun, the only time i have fun is when the object is not to win, but to again HAVE FUN.

Now i know what your thinking "what we all hate spammers, what is this thread about"...

What's your opinion and do you spam at all?

It's not spamming, it's exploiting a weakness. You expected him to go up and get his ass kicked by a strong melee character when he can easily destroy you at range? Your enemy found your weakness and used it against you, which is what fighting games are all about.

This is why you play the balanced characters, not the melee-centric or energy-centric players. To avoid things like this. You want to see REAL spamming? Play Soul Calibur.

Yes I do know about spammers, but I dont get angry at them.
You find out what move they are using and adjust to beat them.
Cause, normally they will stick to one or two moves, allowing you time to counter it properly.

Why use something that's not as effective? Yes, spam is bad, but everyone in an online game will have the mentality to use whatever cheap move is available to win.

Yeah i made a character specifically designed for defeat spammers, just like on CoD4 and CoD5, i've made classes to beat campers, but i shouldn't need to do that.

Also there is no way to beat a spammer on SF4 or Burst limit, i.e. why i stopped playing them.
