Spanish History

I've glanced over the wiki page and I want to ask the community here, if any Iberian would like to help me in this subject - where can I get some knowledge about Spanish history from the mid 16 century to WW2?
Somehow I missed a war with the USA and a civil war. I'm severly lacking in knowledge in the perticular subject and I'd be grateful if any of you could assist.

Silly, only the US has a history, since we invented writing and breathing and patriotism 60 years ago when we sprung forth from the earth, took communism by the throat and simultaneously had sex with every woman on earth all at once.

Cute.
If you're interested, I'm technically Asian (Though I'm living in Israel) so most of my European history (And american) knowledge is self taught.
