How long do (HALO) Spartans live for? Is it any different seeing as how they're physically altered?
Yeah hate to run into a retired Spartan as a greeter at Walmart...Sun Flash said:Master Chief is meant to be over 50 odd canonically(?) but all the slip space, deep sleep , cryogenic mumbo jumbo means he's got the body of a sprightly 30 year old. I'd assume they have the same natural span as a human, but are built to physically withstand much more. Plus they're near enough War Machines, I don't think the UNSC really planned them to live to retirement age.

This is because they often spend months in cryosleep, not aging, which adds up after over 30 years. Most SPARTAN-IIs are dead by the Battle of Installation 04, however a few are alive. None have died of old age yet, although one has retired (how she was able to do so is currently unknown). SPARTAN-IIIs have an extremely short life span, as they are sent en mass on suicide missions. The longest living IIIs are Noble Team, as they are a special group of IIIs formed by Kurt Ambrose, one of the trainers of the IIIs (and a SPARTAN-II himself). SPARTAN-Is mostly were dead by 2552, with the only known one that was for certain still alive by 2552 being Sargent Avery Junior Johnson, who was killed by 343 Guilty Spark soon before his death at the hands of John-117. As far as it is known, the augmentations of the SPARTAN-Is, IIs and IIIs has no effect on aging, but IIs have no sex drive.
