I was wondering if anyone could help me. I've got the Bose Companion 3 Sound System for my PC and they have worked fine until today. I've been moving them between my parent's houses 2 times a week, for about 3 weeks.

Now I'm not sure if they're broken or what but only one speaker seems to play, I've switched the connections around and when I do that the non function speaker suddenly works and the other doesn't. My bass seems to be quite week and the control pod, that usually mutes all sound when you tap it, now seems to only cut the volume by half.

I've tried google and all I get is places to buy new speakers which I can't afford right now. I was hoping, perhaps in vain, if anyone had any insights before I pay for them to be repaired/get rid of them.

It like it has been damaged from all of the moving. Bose being the extremely expensive peices of shit that they are are extremely fragile.

Also have you checked to make sure its not just the speaker wire?
I was worried the moving would damage them. The wires are fine as they both work in the right audio jack, but whatever is plugged into the left one suffers really low volume, so I'm assuming that may be the problem. Still not sure why my control pod mute whatever is only cutting volume, not not muting.
