That actually looks cool. The whole sandstorm bit is creative. This might be worth looking forward to. Of course, I've got plenty of time to wait until then. Let's hope Bad Company 2 can hold me over for almost a year.

That looks fairly good! MW2 & Gears together
Looks like they are bringing the whoop, and the ass into one location =D

It seems pretty cool. It's got the "Apocalypse Now" vibe, with the crazy commander and stuff, but that's not a bad thing.
That's exactly what I was thinking. Having not known the Colonel's name at that point, I bet myself that his last name would be Kurtz. Now knowing what it is, it starts with a K, and is essentially the last name of the guy who wrote Heart of Darkness (Joseph Conrad, for those who don't know), so I figure I was close enough.

I suspect I will enjoy this if only for the Heart of Darkness references. Although it might end up being too much i.e The Directors Cut of Apocalypse Now.

Well, someone finally wants to make a game resembling Apocalypse Now. I hope they won't cock it up.

Basically this, and having a sandstorm in the middle of a gunfight sounds pretty interesting.
More like a gunfight in a middle of a sandstorm, don't you think?

Though it is in a genre I don't usually enjoy, some of that footage was pretty impressive, and setting a Gears of War clone in a modern city, must have taken testicles of wrought iron. This trailer has peaked my interest.

Oh my dear spec ops, what have they done to you? What happened to the days gone by of fighting Argentinians in Antarctica to recover downed satelites? Infiltrating Pakistani nuclear sites? Decimating Colombian drug cartels?

This game isn't fit to ware the title.

All I can say at this point is Dubai is a neat-ass setting. Even destroyed and abandoned. The way it is now, with all sorts of insane architecture, ridiculously rich people, and the rampant crime and forced labor, makes it the perfect setting for a video game. And the sandstorms sound really interesting, especially after seeing the ground drop away from the player in the trailer...
My curiosity has been piqued.

Hmm. 'Uncharted' gameplay with a Joseph Conrad touch? Now THAT I can get behind.

Ooh, ooh-- also, I know it's a little early to be thinking of DLC, but they should totally have Johnny Cash as a playable character.

So you can, you know, WALK The Line. Ehh? Ehhhh?

Sorry.

Yes, I will eat the babies and then burn down the orphanage.

Looks to be an interesting game, I'll keep an eye out. Dunno whether it'll take precedence over some of the other planned purchases I have, but it's certainly not turned me off the game.

Call me curious. The setting and gameplay look to be unique, and the storyline certainly doesn't sound phoned-in.
