Do any of you have a special food that just holds a lot of meaning for you? Like (example) special toast (just an example) that -blank- always used to make for you or something like that.

OT: Anywho, my special food is this sort of ice cream sandwiches that are called "Chili Bears" they hold a deep history for me of the innocence of when i was a kid and every time i bite them, they taste just like childhood : )

Does the escapist have a food like that?

I put cinnamon on my burritos but they don't really have a name. Damned tasty though. My uncle made them with me once, eating them that way ever since.

My grandmothers hazlenut cake. Mmmm, I've been eating it long as I can remember, and apparently even longer than that. It's the best in cake in the world and after 20 years, I'm pretty sure it's not a lie (sorry). I need to get the recipe off her next time I see her...

Butter both sides of a slice of bread, cut a hole in the middle. Toss in a pan and fry one side (including the bit that was once in the hole). When nicely brown and crunchy, flip over and crack an egg in to the hole.

My memory is shoddy but I believe my gran used to make this for me when I was little. I have no idea what you would call that but I know I had a little smile when it showed up in V for Vendetta.

Fideo Soup. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fideo] My grandma always used to make it when I used to visit her. But since she's died I haven't had it. :[
