Thought I would create a positive thread about parents. :) I used search and didn't see anything similar, so hopefully I didn't miss anything similar. I'm new around here (well, I registered in 2003 but never posted or browsed the forums until recently).

I go storm chasing in Summer with my parents. We go up in the local mountains and try to catch the storms. Its a lot of fun, and something we can do as a family. Its sorta like tornado chasing, but we don't go after tornadoes since we don't get them around here. It can be dangerous, but it sure is a lot of fun and exciting.

So, what special things do you do with your parent(s)?

Lately, I've been watching zombie movies with my parrents. The funny thing is, that they whine at the start of every movie, but at the end, they are the greatest fans of the movie. And this happens with every single movie we have watched.

Mom and me follow the Supernatural, Afterlife and Project Runway series. We always keep up with the seasons and shit.
However, I do most things with my parents actually. Go to the cinema, go swimming, road-trips, and such. My friends aint very interested in the simple stuff, most off them just wants to get piss drunk and sleep around. <.< Meow.

I talked with my dad on a large number of subjects, a lot of them involving video games, anime, and the internet. Also, not that special, but I drive my dad to some places now that I have my learners permit.

Go out to eat, or make dinner together, watch movies, read and talk about books a lot.

My mother and I have the same taste in shows and movies varying from Fight Club to Avatar the Last Airbender, so we watch them all the time.

I spent a lot of talk talking with my mother about anything and everything really. She even took an interest in video games, hockey, computers and etc. So it is rather enjoyable. Then you have business plans, future successes, what we'll end up buying, relationships, you name. Being raised by just my mother has made us quite close; sadly that seems to be a rarity these days.

I got on pretty well with my parents when I lived at home but since I moved out my parents have gradually started to treat me more like a friend and less like a daughter. It means I have some very strange conversations with them.

yeah me too, nice to know im not the only childish person.
anyway, i'm nice and don't send mine to an old peoples home (because they aren't old enough) for they chronically annoy me. and thats not just me being an angsty teen. they are really annoying. well my dad especially. i have a few inside jokes with my mum, when she isnt ranting and raving.

I avoid my mom as frequently as possible otherwise I start raging. I don't get along very well with my family and don't really care to.

My Dad and I go hiking reasonably often. We're both wilderness-freaks to some extent.
Nothing like a desolate mountain for bonding.

My mother and I also talk about religion and history and things too, sometimes.

Nothing. I have no special relationship with them, and I'm at college so I rarely see them. Although me and my dad used to play NES together very often, when I was younger.
