Speed Gaming for Charity

Ever heard of The Speed Gamers? Their a small group of gamers who have taken it upon themselves to broadcast live speed runs of popular game franchises as well as live commentary. After already tackling Final Fantasy, Mother, Mario, Zelda, Metroid and pokemon they plan to beat the prince of persia and assasin's creed games in 3 days. All proceeds go to various charities, ACT Today, Gulf Restoration Network,Susan G. Komen, and they've raised over 200,000 dollars for those causes.

Even if you don't have any money to donate, you can watch for the commentary. The commenators are known to do many things for a donation. Eating Scorpion Popsicles, Marmite and spam sandwiches, being maced in the face. All for charity.

Oooh whats the fastest you ever blazed through a game? Are you the type that speeds straight through to the end, or gets slowed down by sidequests or that one boss that keeps kicking your ass.

I remember watching these guys catch all 493 Pokemon in 3 days. It was pretty amazing. Good to know they're still doing this stuff.

I almost always do multiple playthroughs of a game. I start with a dry run, where I just go straight through the story. From there I'll start multiple playthroughs and do sidequests and the occasional story mission.

They definitely caught em all.

I have compulsive sidequests disorder, the fear that if I don't complete a certain sidequest the game will get harder or the ending would have been effected. So I play through games slowly alot of the time.
