You really can't see the difference between finding interesting workarounds that anyone else with a copy of the game can try for free and paying for an accessory that has historically been really hard to find in stock?

Literally anyone with a copy of Super Mario Bros somewhere can try the wrong warp on 4-2 and don't need to buy the Mario with Warp Whistle Amiibo to get the warp earlier and save 30 seconds on the run.

This is also why there's such a thing as different categories to deal with this sort of thing and why the speedrunner isn't using it in his actual attempts.
