So, how dependent on spellcheck are you? I am very guilty of relying on it for most of my spelling...

If it stopped working on all devices now and forever, I would have to get a dictionary and work on my spelling.

Also do you think having a spellcheckers anonymous group here would be a good idea?

Just your thoughts on spellcheck in general I guess.

I feek I would be pretty much screwd.

It's not that I'm a bad speller per se, just that my mind gets confused somewhere along the path to my fingers.

Spellchecks? I'm more efficient than them when I see my typos. They just get everything WRONG.

I misspell (and don't immediately see the misspelling) about 1 in 80 words. I wouldn't be all that terribly off. It would just mean that I would have to actually read through my writing for spelling mistakes instead of just letting the computer get it for me.

I might seem a bit more hick-ish than I do now, and I tend to misspell certain words. Like, electrician, what the Hell is up with that word. Also Wednesday. (Which I spell Wensday unless I have spell-check to correct me.)

No difference. My spelling is usually great, if I'm unsure of the spelling of a word I'll check it with google.

I'd just google words I don't know how to spell. Since I started using chrome a few years ago I've become more dependent on spellcheck for typos though. More out of laziness than inability.

Not much difference, really. I don't much use the darn thing. It slows me down too much and practice alone has made me competent in that field and I'm pretty good at policing my own posts for those kinds of errors. In those cases where I'm uncertain, I'm still less likely to use spellcheck than I am to just try doing a google search on the word and checking the top results for verification. ...Then again, I suppose that could count as a form of spellcheck. Is that accounted for in the scenario, or is it a valid loophole?
