What I would like is something like the Iron Man where Shield operatives or Nick Fury are paying an interest in him, but not the major plot. Perhaps Nick Fury and shield are buying weapons/tech from Osborn, Spiderman foils him as the Green Goblin and also reveals the evil stuff Norman's doing to shield. Nick Fury is then shown looking at dossiers or something about Spiderman.
I want less peter, not no Peter Parker, Spiderman 2 and 3 were like 70% Peter being stressed/poor/emo. So have your scenes where you set him up at the start, a few ones showing the impact of the career, but keep it streamlined.
I have never heard of this film, is it like the rumored sequels to the matrix, Aliens 3 and prequels for star wars? Because I believe those films do not exist.CroMagnon said:

Also because the original plan for the movie, was them all returning to earth, which has bladerunner style megacities (the ones with mysterious steam coming from everywhere). Where the Aliens get into the sewers breed massive numbers and eventually swarm up to take over the world. The only thing in their way? Battalions of Colonial Marines fighting them for every inch of the planet. The only problem is they didn't have the money or effects for this.
I don't mind Alien Resurrection though...

According to the column [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/columns/moviebob/7014-Spider-Man-No-More] MovieBob wrote about this, Sam Raimi got into a bit of a scuffle with Sony Pictures over creative control issues, namely the villains that would appear in Spider-Man 4. Venom's inclusion in 3 was entirely the fault of the studio and Raimi apparently wasn't about to let his vision be screwed over again.
Honestly, Spider-Man 4 being canceled isn't the absolute worst thing that could happen. They could easily diverge from the whole numerical route and start subtitling the movies directed by people other than Sam Raimi (The Amazing/Spectacular Spider-Man, Web of Spider-Man, Spider-Man Unlimited, etc). Taking the franchise back to its beginnings for a "grim and gritty" reboot, though? Eugh. Count me out.
Like MovieBob said, we'll probably all live to see good Spider-Man movies again. We'll just have to endure some terrible ones in the meantime.

for the record? the movie was canceled cause sony decided it needed to have the movie in 3D despite all the work that had already gone into it. Raimi couldn't do anything decent within the time frame and sony were apparently being pricks about the whole thing, so he walked.Red Hood said:

YES, YES, GOD YES!! I wanted to see the Spiderman 4 movie. It could have redeemed 3, but now we will never know. I don't think its fair for you to basically say "big deal" when you're not familiar with the material. Did you see "Deadpool" (a.k.a Barakapool) in Origins? Did you see how they slandered Alan Moore's message in Watchmen? I'm sorry but this is the straw that breaks the camel's back.
