The internet is all a buzz with spiderman as his latest movie comes to screen. Some liked it more felt it was meh and some hated it.
Anyways, villains.
Supposedly many felt the lizard couldve been better in this latest movie. this got me thinkin about spidermans villains as i love villains and one of the first comic books I read was a collection of spiderman meeting with his villains. Lookin back he has some shitty villains, at least compared to batman, but thats batman who has probably the best rogues gallery.

If his villain isnt based on some kind of animal then you have something odd like sandman, mysterio, electro, goblin until you get to get venom who is so different yet so similar to spidey hes the most liked.(also led to antivenom which I liked)

My favorite spiderman series ever was the cartoon "spectacular spiderman" whcih I felt did everything in the spiderman universe perfect. Peter, his relationships, his villains all of it was right and then got cancelled.

Anyways I wanna hear your opinions

-Whats your least favorite villain?
-Whats you favorite spidey villain?
-Who should be in the sequel?

Least favorite: Sandman. No real reason why, but whenever I try to think about my least favorite, his name pops up.
Favorite: I also liked Rhino, and Kraven was kinda fun, too. So were Mysterio and Carnage, now that I think about it.
Sequel: Rhino and Kraven should team up (not literally; they both should just be in it) in the sequel. No, I don't have a reason why.

It was weird how in the new Spiderman movie
Lizard was a huge dick when he was Lizard, trying to kill people in a rampaging fashion on the bridge, but then in the end he saves Peter from falling and feels reluctant about the death of the Police Commissioner; which would imply that in his lizard state he was out of control and out of his mind. I mean wtf? Lizard could read and speak English, its not like he was some thoughtless animal who lost control. Did the formula act like some sort of freaky medication that fucked his head up or what?

God I loved The Spectacular Spider-Man. Its theme song was my ringtone for the longest time.

Least favorite: Vulture (Can't really pinpoint it but I never really clicked with the guy)
Favorite: Electro, Kingpin, Venom (who doesn't love the guy)
Who should be in the sequel: I think they could do Mysterio really well and make him super badass. Okay he has a fishbowl for a head but IT CAN WORK

My personal favorite is probably Dr. Octopus, and I got really lucky with him being one of the best characters in the spiderman movies lol

My least favorite is probably...I don't even remember his name that's how little I care about him. Mysterio? Is that a guy? Dude with the big ball helmet?

Oh wait...by any chance does J. Jonah Jameson count as a villain? If so, I change my favorite villain to him lol

Who I think should be in the sequel? Well they already did the Lizard, so how about next they tackle the Vulture, Rhino, or Gibbon :p

I feel I need to point out that Batman has to have good villains because Batman in and of himself is kind of well boring. I am not saying Spiderman is grate but you know better than a brick.

That being said I don't know favorite being Dr.Octopus. Least favorite never cared for the Vulture. And for the next one? The Rhino I guess. I don't fallow comic books that much.

Favourite ... Venom, always Venom followed closely by Carnage.

Least favourite ... Shocker. Just couldn't like him and I really tried.

Sequel ... Venom and Carnage ... or Morbius.

Yeah, Venom is my favorite Spider-man villain. He's one of my all time favorite villains/anti-heroes from just about anything. No stupid moral hang ups that get other heroes into binds. And I'm talking about the Eddie Brock Venom, not that Topher Grace bullshit.

Some people say that but I disagree as I love batman and see it this way
-You like batman and the bat family more
-You like batmans villains more
-You like both
-You like neither (<but if you choose this one I dont like you so why do I care what you think)

I like batman because of his will to better himself, gotham and the people of gotham but these villains keep fuckin it up for him.

From the cool kevin conroy batman to the complete aggro christian bale one.
I love batman but some people like to give his villains more credit, but thats good too.

I feel batman(the franchise) is popular due to these reasons.

Least favorite: I'm going to have to say...vulture or mysterio. They're not terrible, they're just my least favorite
Most Favorite: Again I'm torn, either Venom or Doc ock, I don't care if his real name is Dr. octopus, to me he's doc ock.
In the sequel: You know what? Honestly, I want to see Shocker. He's not my most favorite but he's in my top ten and while Venom didn't get a lot of screen time in the third movie, he was still in the third movie and doc ock had his entire movie already. Let Shocker have a turn.

Venom is my absolute favorite but I do like Puma. Yeah, he's a bit more obscure but I just liked him a lot.

Favorite: Probably Vulture actually. It's been a long time since I paid any attention to the Spiderman universe, but last I checked Vulture was both a mad scientist+could suck out people's life and give it to himself to make himself younger for a time like a poor man's Raas Al-Ghul (not necessarily a bad thing).

Least Favorite: Thinking on it, it'd be Rhino. As far as I could tell his main motivation was "I'm big, and therefore must smash shit". I just found him boring.

Sequel: By mad scientist credentials alone Vulture would be a fun villain to see.

Least favourite: Definitely Hammerhead. He's just shit.

Favourite: Venom, guys fucking awesome.

Sequel: Venom but done right and not just for the last ten minutes like in Spider-Man 3. Or maybe Mysterio.

Favorite: Doctor Octopus. I like the look of him. And the idea of a scientist being taken over by his own creation.

Least Favorite: Mysterio. Cool concept, but doesn't really fit in with the rest of the gallery. Don't really dislike him, though.

Sequel: Venom. Just to see him done right like the guy above me said. Plus he'd fit with the tone the first movie seems to be going for.

Favourite: Carnage. This guy, unlike Venom, has no sense of honour. He's not bound by some desire for revenge that keeps his damage focused. Carnage is what happens when you give the Joker a fucking symbiotic i.e. Something VERY bad.

Least Favourite: Shocker, he's like electro's pussy little brother

Sequel: I want to see Venom done right... But it would feel too early, so I'm going to say either Doc Oc or Green Goblin

Favorite: The Symbiotes. They're just so cool.

Least favorite: Probably the Vulture. He's just... eh.

Sequel: There shouldn't be a sequel.

See, I feel the opposite on you with the least favorite, as the Sandman's one of mine. I share your Rhino and Kraven, and I'd like to toss in Hammerhead too. For some reason, I never really liked Venom as much as I should've... And Mysterio's just lame.

Your sequel idea is cool too, like maybe Rhino's rampaging in the street, and someone hired Kraven to take him down. Maybe sometime along the way, The Hunter decides that Spider-Man seems like a more challenging prey to hunt...Hell, toss in his daughter as the Huntress, and you have a double-hunting villain team.

Favorite: Norman Osborn. Whether or not he's the Green Goblin, Osborn has in the comics proven to be Spidey's biggest threat. Not as personal as Venom or his son Harry, not as openly criminal and white collar as The Kingpin, but the combination of the two makes him Spidey's best baddy.

Least Favorite: Oh there are dozens... the post-Kingsley Hobgoblin, the DemoGoblin, Spidercide, Kaine, Carrion, Screwball, Kangaroo, Wheel, Slyde... so many one-shot or minor guys who just weren't that good or products of the 90s... actually reading the comics lets you see just how low things get. At least some, like Stilt-Man are just so funny that there's value to their ineptitude, and sometimes they get in on it.

Sequel: I really want a movie with Kraven the Hunter in it. Perhaps Mysterio. Or both. They can both be hired by Osborn or something.

I mean wtf? Lizard could read and speak English, its not like he was some thoughtless animal who lost control. Did the formula act like some sort of freaky medication that fucked his head up or what?
The Lizard isn't a mindless monster, he's got the intelligence of Dr. Connors, but he's wholly obsessed with reptile dominance, so when he's rampaging around, it's not like he's enraged and unaware of his surroundings, it's more that he knows that innocent bystanders are there but he's indifferent at best to human safety. In short, he still has a human mind but no empathy whatsoever. (The movie didn't make that very clear, though they did suggest it when the Lizard voice was talking to Connors in his head. It's explained better in the comics)

OT: My favorite is Kraven the Hunter. The goofy outfit and backstory are appropriately campy for a Spiderman story, but he's more than that in the right hands. My next favorites would probably be the Lizard and Venom.

My least favorite is probably Dr Octopus. I liked him in Spiderman 2, and he is pretty good at times, but the way Spiderman is always flummoxed by those goddamn arms despite the thousand times they've fought annoys me.

For the next movie, I'd like to see Sandman get a better shot, or maybe J Jonah Jameson begin his crusade against Spiderman by commissioning the Spider Slayers or the Scorpion (they could slide in Electro or Shocker as henchmen). Also, instead of Mary Jane and Gwen for a love triangle, I'd like to see Gwen and Black Cat. 'twould be a great movie.
