Well since I'm an avid promaniac when it comes to religion posts, but an avid seeker of knowledge of hat might metaphorically lie in between the lines of our realities a'll try and make this as nuetral as possible.

As an attempt at a pre-emptive fire proofing, no posts about religion please I'd like to keep god/bhudda/zues/anubis/thor/whatever out of this.

My question is this:

Have you ever had an experience which has made you just stop and think, "Wow".

An example of such an experience, because i was watching it today: In a voyager episode about the omega directive, seven of nine gets to see her "holy grail" a set of omega particles stabalise. 'Infinitely complex, yet harmoneous'

For me it would have to be Looking out at the roaring see during a storm, seeing it crashes into the coastline. Seeing that surge of unstopable water just fills me with utter awe, rendering me frozen in place in amazement.

The same can be said for lightning storms. I can sit there for hours with a soft smile on my face as I witness such power being shown.

Thats it for me =)

Remember, no religion!

EDIT: I just realized how easily people might confuse this with a religious experience so i will define it further.

The experiences i mean are ones that make you as a person stronger, that help you realise that you can survive on your own without anyone or anything (god etc included).

Aaah I wish I could be spiritual but I just can't in any way shape or form D=
Everyone can be spiritual, as i said its moment that make you feel like you can survive on your own. (Unless you're a manic suicidal depressive...)

But I feel like I can survive on my own all the time. I'm just happy that I can enjoy life without feeling like I have the rely on others. I enjoy it =D

I guess I've just never needed to be spiritual!

Seriously, webcomics. Ever read one completely from the start to today's strip? There are myriad messages in there. Good stuff.

And sitting on the shore of a pond while it lightly rains, sky gray, feeling of contentment.

Maybe some tea.

Hold it a second - you want spiritual experiences but no religion?

Try a different title, buddy.

Normally I wouldn't blatantly advocate drug use, but mushrooms or LSD are basically your exact fix for that.
Yeah does being high have anything to do with spiritual experiences? Coz that changes my answer entirely

Yes, plenty of times. But none of those experiences were due to the supernatural.

You can't ban talk about religion in a thread entitled "Spiritual Experiences". The whole idea of spirituality is utterly tied up with religion and an experience a religious person would consider 'spiritual', like yours with the storm, would not be seen that way by an atheist.

Spirituality was around before religion, and besides, religion talk is simply flame bait. I'd prefer to keep such annoying flammable material from this thread. If you don't like it, there are other threads to go to.

You know spirituality can be connected to quite a few things, pleasure, philosophy, personal feelings, excersie i.e yoga art and on and on, spirituality is not defined as a religious term. And on that note there are atheist buddihsts.

Please explain to me how there can be an atheist buddhist?

Buddihsm does not claim to be divine or require a personal god, its all about inner peace and whatever, and no Buddah was not a deity they just view him as a man who reached enlightenment still flesh and blood.

I can't really think of anything like that which has happened to me. But I will say that spirituality can, and often IS, linked to religion. It just depends on ones personal definition/interpretation.

I read this as "spiritual condom". It was awesome.
You should make a definition of that phrase and urbandictionary it.

I'm on it. My friends also came up with a new filthy sexual act using the name of the Ben & Jerry's ice cream flavor "Dublin Mudslide" which has completely put me off the flavor all together.

Once a storm had passed by at camp. It was heading off to the left of the lake, and it wasn't raining. So on one side of the lake was a beautiful orange sunset, and the other was dark storm clouds that occasionally lit up because of lightening.

'Twas amazing.
