I just watched the CO-OP trailer...and wow,fucking wow.

The CO-OP campaign has you play as one of two splinter cells.
Archer from Third Echelon and Kestrel, a Russian agent working for Voron, Third Echelon's Russian counterpart...who are total bad-asses.

My wife loves Splinter cell so this should be great, for us come February.

With out sounding a bit fanboyish but 2010 seems to a great year for microsoft, compared to this year's mediocrity.

I think 2010 will sound like a great year for everyone, not just Microsoft.

I'm pretty freaking excited for this game as well.

Chaos theory was the best, I think, and this just seems to up the 'badassery' by a ton.
And who doesn't love stealthy co-op? Communists, that's who.
I can't wait!

I want this game, I'm just not sure if I'm going to pay release price for it. Same with Mass Effect 2 and Bioshock 2.

I can wait for this game, I really want it to be good so I have no issue waiting untill it is finished. It looks like Fisher is over his "angry old man" phase and back into his "Badarse Ninja with a black sense of humor" style.

Co-op looks alright, but they've turned the single player into a full on action game with auto aiming, so I'm not impressed in the slightest.

Although Nintendo can suck it in my opinion.
Agree on the first point, and as for the second...why?

Personally, I was really disappointed by the game's graphics...obviously I know that graphics don't make a game, I mean, look at Dragon Age for proof of that, but I was really expecting more from Conviction. Especially with all the other BEAUTIFUL Ubisoft games we've been recently treated to, I would just assume that they would up the ante in the graphics department for such an anticipated AAA title.

They don't look HORRIBLE but they certainly look far from good...not very detailed environments and just all-around awkward character animations were all I could see in that trailer. I'll certainly reserve judgment until the final product, of course.

Actually, scratch what I said. Contrary to what I've believed, No More Heroes 2 is coming out in 2010 and not 2011. Then they don't have to suck it.

I giggled like a schoolgirl.

Anyways, I'm pretty excited about Conviction as well. I didn't really like Double Agent, however. Hopefully this will be better.

I'm kind of of two minds about this game. I love Splinter Cell and, despite my horrible first impression, I grew to like Double Agent despite it's complete abandonment of concept. However, it looks like this is getting rid of one of the good things that even DA kept: Sam's weakness compared to his enemies. In all of other SCs, you had to hide, or at least strike from the shadows, in order to get through, because a single enemy could kill you. In this, especially with that thing that they showed where he locks onto an enemy and does an awesome looking take-down shot, that's out the window. What incentive do you have to hide if you can win most fights easily?

All that said, I'll still get it, because I love SC too much not to.

Why? They're getting great titles in the 1st quarter.

Most likely going to regret this but why do you?
I'm sorry, that was a mistake from me.

I though No More Heroes was coming out in 2011 and was grumpy about it, but it turns out I was wrong. I will now change my post.
