The tittle says it all realy, have you ever had a case of (split screen) co-op or otherwise (so team deathmatch for instant, in whatever way you can imagine) OWNAGE, with someone on your team that you thought, damn, that went nice he was right there when i needed him and i was RIGHT there in the nick of time to save his ass?

Regularly, playing TF2 with the Escapist clan [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/The-Escapist-Team-Fortress-2-Group-PC], last night I was playing Heavy with TheSeventhLoneWolf playing medic, I jumped between him and a pyro, killed the pyro, then he popped an uber just in time for 3 heavies to wade around the corner. Let's just say that was the most tense 3 seconds of firing I've done in a while.

Me and my brother have moments like that in Halo 3.
Both of us like to think that we are pretty good, which is shown by our sheer domination in team doubles.
We've never lost playing together, and we save each other constantly.

I've played some games with this one mate and it definately seems to be the tank + healer combo type deal, no matter what. We've played games like Modern Warfare 2 (Spec Ops), Halo 3 and ODST co-op and every time it's a case of him charging in like an idiot and me being close behind to pick up the pieces. I'm the ass-saver... it isn't as fun. But one radical offense and one cautious defence usually works.

and you dont get the sence of accomplishment that comes with it? it sounds pretty much the same as me and a friend although, ours was a slight spin on this, i was what one might call, a ridiculously hard to kill decoy XD. tie this in with a natural feel for the lancer in gears of war 1, and we have something a lot of people will try to kill.
this of coarse, will seem kill me quite rapidly. only with one vital error people seem to overlook.
the black guy with the shotgun behind them right when they try to pull the trigger.
i got saved so often that every time a play that game with my friend now i can just predict the shouts of WOO BABY THE TRAIN IS HOME ON THE RAILS! every time i have the 'oshitoshit im gonna DIE! moment' and then i dont die. and am showerd in pieces of enemy, after which i see my friend grin and continue the massacer the entire team. with some support fire from me :3

Oh yeah sometimes, haven't really played Gears of War multiplayer but my mate dyin a lot on Halo 3 gives me more chances to kill the others as they t-bag him.

I get a bit of sense of accomplishment but it's rather a release of stress =P. My mate is the only guy I know who gets below 1 kill/death ratio in multiplayer games, and he's played more than me.

not so much a halo person myself, did do some fun things in halo 3 that my mate recorded (is there a way that you can see those? his name is that snor, his xbox live is linked to his profile) the movy was called hop in and hit him XD
in which i matadore'd a arthog coming straight for me, mounted while he was driving, looked at the driver from the passengers seat, went 'wtf' for a humorous pause, and then beat him to death while in the same car as him XD

Halo.. but on split screen. My mate, an avid fan of the laser, attempted to nuke a banshee while I was standing off to the side of it a little. He shot and missed, but the banshee had to make a side spin to avoid it.... Airjack XD

Playing l4d2, I was a smoker and my friend was a spitter. The survivors were in a small room with one exit, so my friend spat in the middle of the room, causing all the survivors to take a lot of damage while fending off the zombie horde. Then one of them made it to the door, and I promptly strangled them with my tongue until they died and another survivor made it out. Repeat process, 2 survivors left, low health and no first aid.
'Twas awesome.

You practically need to play the Timesplitters 2 campaign in co-op in order to beat it on hard. Well... I haven't done that yet, but me and my friend got past the first level!

[sub]almost[/sub]

The problem is that you need to be constantly on edge in order to beat the level. Enemies will destroy you in a few shots, and traps such as turrets and cameras are around every corner, so it's best to combine each player's knowledge of the level. Also, the checkpoints are really, really bad. Ultimately the thing is easier with two players, but both of them need to be playing to their maximum potenial. It is riotous fun.
