Spoiled Kids Sue Mother

I'm really surprised it's seen as newsworthy though i suppose being able to title it along the lines of "Kids sue mom for being a meanie" helps a lot.
Honestly I don't see why they're suing, cut ties with mom and see a shrink. it's cheaper and probably goes a lot further in the long run.
Some of those claims too are b/s. I can understand how it would be meaningful to the kids but the way the article lays it out really does make them look more spoiled than i think they necessarily are. I kinda got the impression that Dad got them to list every little thing she'd ever done that upset them and didn't bother to filter it.
As well look at it through the kid's view. First time away from home at school and yer mom doesn't contact you or anything? That's kinda harsh. as well she buys the son a car and won't even help the girl go to a dance? That's a little messed up.
Ultimately there's way too much not explained here so all we can do is guess.

I agree with the sentiment expressed by AndyFromMonday, and I can honestly say that I have never passed judgment on anyone without seeking out the facts first. One of the upsides of autism is that a lot of our brains actually work logically. Additionally, I find your argument that just because people have done something before means that it isn't wrong and shouldn't be stopped highly suspect.Iron Mal said:

OT: I would disown the kids for that, they're just pathetic. I'm glad the court threw it out, but I wouldn't be surprised if they accepted it though. Can anyone tell me where the legal issue is in this?

Well said. These sort of trashy stories are entertaining because they give the reader an excuse to feel superior. It's best to remember that the media realises this, and so spins them accordingly.AndyFromMonday said:

Those kids must be really stupid, If they actually won the court case then I would've lost alot of hope in humanity.
