I do believe the stickies in all forums cover this information and more.
And by the way, stickies are the threads that are perpetually stuck at the top of the list of threads. There should be five for the Off-Topic Discussion forum, if I remember correctly.
But...I guess I'll go ahead and show you. Just do this without the spaces between the brackets and the words:
[ spoiler ] What you want inside here [ /spoiler ]
If you want to have text on the front of the box instead of that generic "Spoiler: click to view" do this:
[ spoiler=What you want to say on the outside here ] Content on the inside here [ /spoiler ]
The result will look like this:

The easiest way to do it is quote someone else, and delete all the random shit that you don't want in your post. Hit the preview button and you'll see what your post will look like. I figured it all out through trial and error.
