Spoiler Tag Not Working

So, roughly a week ago the Escapist forum spoiler tag stopped working for me. Whenever I click on something marked as a spoiler, it simply disappears rather than revealing the content within, meaning that I have no way to access anything that's spoiler-tagged. I can't think of anything I might've done during the past week that could have led to this happening, so this post is more or less my last resort. Anyone have an explanation?

It must be an addon that blocks JavaScript or something like that. Here is the solution

Problem?

OK, OK, I'm not that cruel :p (though, you could just quote me to see what's in the spoiler tag) Just check your browser addons and disable the most likely ones until spoiler tags start working (you can use this one as a test). You'd need to reload the page after enabling/disabling an addon. After you find which one it is, you'd just need to configure it to not block JavaScript on the Escapist.

In addition to this you could also try reinstalling and/or updating java. Unlikely to fix it, but little effort involved and worth a try.

EDIT: Have you tried an alternative browser?

I don't see how it could help at all. At most, I'd say clearing the cache has a small chance to fix it, which is something I forgot to mention before, but unless reinstalling Java also causes the browser to flush the cache (and if that fixes it), there is no other way it could help.

So, yeah, also try clearing the browser cache.

Oh, I agree it's unlikely, but if nothing else helps it's worth doing just to eliminate it as a possible cause. Stranger things have happened!
