Well, it's Halloween. It's dark out, and quiet. Feeling like playing a creepy game. One problem, though: I don't have any!

That's right, a suggestion thread. I know there have been a lot lately. Sorry about that.

So, any suggestions for me, Escapists? It'd have to be freeware, as I have no money, and Mac compatible, as I own a Mac. (I'm sure that narrows it down...) Internet-based games are fine too.

If you own Half-Life 1 (I don't know if that's Mac compatable or not), you can try the Afraid of Monsters mod. It's long, fun, and scary as hell.

If you don't have Half-life, there's a point-n-click adventure game on Newgrounds called Exmortis (I think) that's pretty creepy.

Visit /b/. That's the scariest thing I can think of. Otherwise, for another non-gaming idea, watch any scary film (I recommend anything by Uwe Boll for maximum horror) with the lights off, no sofa or cushion to hide behind, alone. Preferably while high, since that'll make it more creepy. Or just rent and play Fatal Frame or the original Silent Hill, if any local rental stores are still open.

Try Goliath: The Soothsayer. I played it at school, with no volume and was still a little creeped out. It's a point and click escape the house kinda thing. I found it on gamesforme.net. Also, the Ambridge Mansion series on Newgrounds is pretty creepy. That's about all I have for you sorry. But, they are both very fun and pretty scary for being browser games.

Well I tried that asylum game but it took so long to load then to buffer, I gave up. I am currently playing Eversion. So I ask, why have people stopped posting games? Just because Halloween is over doesn't mean to stop posting. Also, EcoEclipse, how were the suggested games? Did you like them or were they not up to snuff?

asylum626 only has the dark room puzzle other then that it's mostly cinimatics that will scare you, plus a choice thing at the end
