Have yet to see one Hack'n'Slash of that kind to come close to Diablo 3. Yes Diablo 3, not Diablo 2 (which is awesome but has in my opinion so friggin many flaws that however are going to get rid of in Diablo 3 (potion spam system, excessive pointless item drops, portal abuse etc. pp.)).

Torchlight was fine gameplay wise but not really great. And the lack of story and lore was disturbing.

The technology was the best thing about Spore. I am completely in favour of applying it to better gameplay.

This is EA, though, so I won't hail this as brilliant just yet. They have a history of disappointing me.

Let hope its not a flop like Spore, because it sounds good, even though I liked Spore to a point, it just wasn't what they said it was going to be.

I am afraid of this being a classic "Great idea, poor execution" scenario. I mean, obviously they can't plan for everything, which is the number one downfall of a game run with User Created content. I expect to be playing the game (with good intentions) and random group after random group being full of people running around that have 80 dicks, or are a giant dick themselves.

Sounds interesting. I absolutely love Diablo and I think I was one of the few people who actually liked Spore. Might keep an eye on this one.

Except for the online play, this sounds like a pretty interesting idea.

It seems that "cooperative online play" is really thinly veiled slang for "how can I monetize this game beyond the first amount of money paid for the game in the first place"
