Flash games. You've probably played one at some point or another, maybe for fun or maybe just to pass the time. Now and then though, something stands out amongst the sea of forgettable puzzle games and celebrity parodies, something worth investing a little time in.

This thread is about those games.

Yeah, I make it sound much more dramatic than it is.

Anyway, post the flash games that you feel stand above the croud.

I feel the best way to describe the above game is "Side-scrolling God of War" because essentially that's what it is. It's a game starring a tough guy with white skin and little clothing, laying waste to all in his path and reducing many a foot soldier to chunks of gore. It may seem shallow at first, seeing as how you press space to do pretty much everything, but give it a chance and before long you'll understand the difference between a strong attack and an execution.

First part of a series. It's a great point and click game, good atmosphere and puzzles that are difficult at times, but always make sense. All three games are great.

Another point and click adventure. Again, great atmosphere and good puzzles, though this one is in a different setting. It's a long one, so either have some time on your hands or make use of the save function.

It could be loosely described as a free-running platformer, but all you do is press a button in order to jump and hit obstacles if you need to slow down. Sparse, pixelated black & white aesthetic. Somehow reminiscent of The Matrix.

Incredibly addictive game in which a small bald person wielding a giant sword is pitted against swarms of large blob things, from ones filled with acid to vicious fuzz-covered ones to gigantic ponderous boulders to a final boss that is too good to spoil. Simple controls hide quite a bit of complexity and difficulty for the unprepared, and surprising detail in the enemy and weapon descriptions and wonderful humour in the awards keeps me coming back for more to discover. The graphics are uninspired, but it's a free flash game, what do you want?
