Squad Member Names for XCOM Enemy Unknown

I like many people like to name and customize my soldiers while playing XCOM. Problem is I kinda suck at it and I don't enjoy naming them after people I know, so I figured to start this thread and start building up a list of funny/witty names for when the game launches in a couple weeks.

One I'll do for sure is Robert "Sideshow" Terwilliger.

I actually intend, for the most part, not to customise them. I'm just going to leave everyone exactly as they come to me. Partly it's so I don't get an easy out for getting connected to them in the first place, but also that that connection can be dangerous...

I just take the random names and make them stupid.

'Dangerous' Yuri
'Hips' Dagallier
'Legs' Sumie
'Dodge' Pat Massive

etc

In that fashion.

EDIT: I forget how far the military ranks actually go in XCOM, but I'm now planning on Private Parts, Major Woody, and the slightly classier General Disdain.

At some point, there'll be a few named after the marines from Aliens. Of course, Hudson will be the one who panics.

I'll probably rename the rookies once they become Squaddies and distinguish themselves from sacrificial lambs. Probably friends and musicians, I'm thinking.

Whoever said that there isn't an English stately home directly above it as cover? That's been moved brick-by-brick into France/America/Brazil/China/wherever the base goes in Africa, but still.

You must always put the name of your friends and your name of course to your Squad Members you have.
This make the game more "immersive", especially if you keep them alive for a long time.

Of course if you don't have a lot of friends, then you just put other peoples you just know.

I'm not actually obsessed with penises, contrary to popular belief.

I do have tremendous difficulty with good names for women though, probably because I am such a repressed mess. Can you think of any good names for female squaddies?

The best I've come up with so far is "Corporal Ladyparts", which has left me both offended and depressed.

I did that last playthrough on the original. They all died horribly.

Since there are four of them I might go with Lister, Kryten, Rimmer and The Cat. I named some of them that on my last playthrough. They all died horribly too.

I could name one Viktor Ragulin but considering there are less recruits to take bullets for him (Not that he needed them to. The man took a blaster bomb to the face and got mildly annoyed.) he might end up going home in a bag in the first mission.

My favourite I've heard so far is from OXM's playthrough, which was Kitkat Chunky. I might just continue with that naming convention:

Fruit and Nut
Dairy Milk
Jaffa Cake
Turkish Delight
Sour Skittles

Or just name them after minor celebrities. It would be quite funny being told that Jeremy Kyle had been disintegrated by a Sectoid's plasma pistol.

Anyone that lives long enough to get a promotion or two will get obligatory awful names.

Until they level up from Rookie to Squaddie they will have names like:

Disposable
Generic Guy
Random Mook
Redshirt
Cannon Fodder

Of course if they do survive plan Use Rookies As Bait/Cannon Fodder they will be awarded with an actual name.

From this point on any rookie or squaddie who panics and survives shall be nicknamed "Hudson" until they prove otherwise.

Also, I totally agree that there's no point in naming cannon fodder.
