I didn't find 13 to be all that enjoyable, I really want them to hurry up on Versus 13 though. I haven't heard anything new about it in a year or so.
Spot on mate. I wish that Versus was the real XIII or even better if it was re-labled Final Fantasy XV

In all fairness didn't the director want to make XIII-2 at one point? That's probably why he said to 'hold onto saves' so items and weapons could follow over.

There were talks about making a Final Fantasy IX-2 too at one point.

I'd be more interested in a Final Fantasy X prequel. Jecht, Auron and Braska and their story.

They're probably moving more focus to actually getting Versus done, or these resources are going to the rumored FFXIII sequel.

For the record, I would have bought FFXIII DLC. I loved that game.

I generally like DLC's, but FF13 doesn't need one. Imperial Hot! get yo ass to work on FFVersus13, FF13 was a horrible game, get over it, you can't bring it back from the dead!

I'm hoping the world style goes like FF12, most areas are accessable from the start... if you power level or run like hell, it's always fun to find a city that should be accssed late in the game really early. The linearness of 13 is what really got to me.
I actually accepted the linear nature as a method to telling the story. I actually got bored of the game when they told me after 20 hours to wander around doing sidequests.

It's possible that Square Enix didn't want to reveal the content before it was ready, and it's also possible that when Toriyama made that statement in February, the DLC had already been ruled out. Either way, his most recent statement is pretty unequivocal, and Final Fantasy XIII DLC is sadly no longer on the cards.

I really don't think anybody was looking forward to FFXIII DLC...unless of course the DLC unlocked a good version of the game or, at the very least, an alternate 8-bit version designed by Yoshitaka Amano and, with music by Nobuo Uematsu. Oh wait, nevermind that would have been a good version.

I thought they said that months ago. Most of us that were willing to play the game to the end mostly wanted a minor patch to make those omega weapons easier to attain. I'm willing to work for it, but that was just tedious.

Why should we be surprised? The entire Fabula Novus Crystallus project has been nothing but a series of constant failure so far, with games taking years to be released and then being not worth playing when they are finally made. So when they say "DLC is coming" ignore that. They can't even finish the games anymore, how the heck can they make an expansion pack?
