Anyhu if Warner buys them they will run any good franchises they have into the ground. Squeenix buys them they wont even know what the hell to do with them.

But I just want a company that will get Freedom Fighters 2 released, god the first was an amazing game. And also hopefully fires some people and just funnels enough money into the hands of Warren Spector and Harvey Smith so they can come to Eidos and actually make this third Deus Ex live up to the ridiculous expectations that the first game has made for it (and make it not suck various parts of donkey anatomy).

Booo! Jokes aside, I think what the real plan here is to stamp the Square-Enix logo on "western" games so they can pretend they've broken into that market, rather than try to make games themselves that might appeal to us.

I guess Warner is running out of ideas and want a library of cash-ins to pick from. I'm not really sure what would be worse.

Sweet if square goes through with this hopefully they re-examine the legacy of kain series that got dumped on by lara croft. >_<

i think Silicon Knights might have something to say about that, since they're the developers

i think this might be a good thing, maybe square will have eidos make some good games for a change

Actually, I don't think Silicon Knights has anymore say in it. Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen was made by Silicon Knights, but all of the sequals, were produced by Eidos, and made by Crystal Dynamics, and Eidos Aquired Crystal Dynamics...

What sucks is the last developers of LoK, left Eidos several months ago, infact, the last one (a chick) Joined Naughty Dog... (I think its naughty dog, she helped make Uncharted.)
