Almost forgot about it, yea. FF XIV is the weirdest mainstream-released MMO to come out simply because of how little and unavailable information and news about the game itself is. Or at least certainly the way it feels from an outsider's perspective. I mean beyond the lodestone, which looks like a convoluted mess of a layout, news on any major gaming website seems insubstantial. When the story broke here on the escapist about square enix finally about to add subscription fees in(the last bit of new posted back in dec 2011), it didn't even make front page whereas the story about female pandarens lingering way longer than it should've. And this is me as a vaguely interested and potential customer actively looking, to any gamer not initiated it may as well not even exist.
