Stalin Vs. Martians

So I logged into steam and I was greeted with stalin facing off with martians. I thought okie dokie this looks strange maybe I will give it a peek. What the hell!?

Too look beyond the eye rape I got when I saw the screenshots I noticed what kind of game it was that being a RTS. Now I have played just about every strategy game there is but a casual RTS or as they call it "arcade style strategy game" I have not heard it.

Now I have not played it as I dont have 15 dollars to throw away right now and I think it got released today (although I may be wrong) so I dont know how many people have played it.

My question is though what are your guys views on where casual gaming should take us and where it should not? Or do you think casual gaming should take us anywhere and everywhere?

It also has a 50ft tall stalin so I am sure its fantastic. It still raped my eyes with so many colors my brain felt like exploding so they get no love from me haha.

What I read was that it was the companies first game release so that seems like a pretty crappy move unless they like be bankrupt. At the same time people are idiots.

I am not trying to say the game is bad if that is what you think. They should be commended for making something different.

I just really dont understand it casual gaming to me is usually puzzle games or skill game or taking a gimmick and making something interesting and short out of it. I will probably end up having to buy it (although I will wait for a really good sale on steam for it) just to see how it is.

I always figured Stalin was a good dancer, but that is beyond anything I could've imagined.

If the game is well balanced and isnt broken it doesnt necessarily mean that they failed just selected very VERY strange subject matter.

I heard about this, it was amde to truthfully document the life of Stalin. So he's 50 feet tall as he was in real life and fights aliens.

Well the idea of Steam was to give small developers a platform to release wierdness like this where they would have been unable to find any way of publishing otherwise. Not quite my kind of thing (ie the humor involved in the premise wouldn't warrent the $15) but I wish them luck.

It all makes sense now he didnt actually have so many people killed he just accidently stepped on them and was so embaressed he made up stories of gulags in Siberia. I knew Stalin was a good guy just misunderstood.
