Need some help with this game. I had it running smoothly out of the box this afternoon, then went online. By smooth I mean high graphics on 1280x800 settings. Flawless frame rate. I looked around online, and decided that a patch would improve my experience with the game itself. I upgraded from 1.5.01 to 1.5.10, and now its choppy as hell. Runs slower than if I tried to run it on my old tower, even on low graphics.
I need help besides a reinstall to get back to 1.5.01, because it comes with a nice present. 5 activations and a hefty TAGES drm... I really am considering shipping it back for a full refund of $2.80. Steal of the year has turned into a headache of the year for me. I can't stand lugging around the CD with me either, so if someone knows how to REMOVE TAGES to where I don't need it, it would be appreciated.
And yes, I, as a customer not a pirate, am being punished with overly intrusive DRM and a draconian 5 install limit. Sweet fucking deal, eh?
