First thing I do after clicking the link? Look up my name. For narcissistic reasons, not paranoia. I'm almost disappointed that I found nothing on me. Am I really so non-noteworthy?

123people made me uneasy. Formsprings made me feel violated...and nauseous...and I still feel weird and...not good. Stupid anonymous Q&A website.

Pretty sure it feeds on social networking sites and such. I'm not on there, as I've never given my real name to a free service... the rest of my family, on the other hand...

I just don't understand why someone would make this ever...someone explain this too me
I just threw my name into it now. It found biographical information on me, photos of me, articles about me, interviews with me, interviews I'd done of other people, even video content... but it couldn't find my Facebook profile.

I thought that this type of tool is something the police might use to research somebody, but it seems you have to be live a pretty public life anyway just to score a hit, so I guess it's something journalists might use to muck-rake on emerging celebs.

My speech teacher gave me a bunch of sites just like this to look ourselves up. He wanted to demonstrate how easy it is to find someone on the internet.. though I never did find myself.

TRy this site: snitch.name (no .com, the .name takes it's place) type in someone's name, and it'll show the results from any social network site all on one page.

I think these are made for universities to investigate applicants.

All I found on myself is a couple posts I made under my own name on a website 2-3 years ago. And I looked up2-3 friends and all I got was a couple FB pics.
