Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force Technical Help

I know this is a long shot but I need technical help and I have scoured the internet for help on the subject and I cant find anything.

My problem is that after deactivating the ships core in the early level I get told to go to an elevator and go to a deck but when I press the button to start the lift the game loads the next level and then jumps to the main menu. Can anyone help?

This is really aggrivating because it is a fantastic game.
(It is quite an old game but I have installed all the patches)

I wish I could help, but I tried to get this game running about a year ago and it wouldn't even get that far before booting me back to the menu. Which is a shame, because it's a really fun, underrated game.

Well I cant use the level select cheat to get to the level, I put the commands into the console and it doesnt like it "cannot find map voy4.bsp"
