No, calm down, it's not what you think. Lucasarts didn't jump on the anime of popular Western properties bandwagon. It's a fan animation and is still a work in progress, but totally awesome.

It seems like the creator was very much influenced by stuff from the 80s and early 90s.

This is awesome, very high quality work it seems. I'm looking forward to seeing more of it.

Takes the bait off the hook, devours it, gives the line a yank and tosses the hook back.

...I forgive you because you have a Blackadder avatar.

That looks really nice. Instead of funding this, Lucasarts decides to fund that godawful CGI Star Wars show where everything is canon.

Lucasarts, you are fucking retarded.

I just like being a contrarian jerk sometimes. But seriously, that looked awesome. I would have liked a few less extreme closeup pans, but it really captured the motion of fighter combat. And the art style is great. It's the chunky, full body style I really like, not that pipecleaner aliens look that studios like CLAMP designs.

The CGI Star Wars show isn't that bad actually, especially post-season 1. Although I'll admit, this looks like it would be a better product if it had a similar budget.

OT: Is it just me, or was the Star Destroyer captain Char Aznable? This whole thing gave me visions of what basically amounts to a Gundam series that focuses on Star Wars fighter pilots instead of mobile suit pilots in one of the Gundam universes. I'd watch it.

Not the Clone Wars, the new one [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars_Detours].

Oh, yeah, that. It reminds me of Robot Chicken Star Wars, but sanitized to the point of being almost completely without humor. Like those kids' joke books that are all variations on "why did the chicken cross the road?"

Haha don't we all! I really did enjoy your comment though it made me laugh :)

You know I actually don't mind the Star Wars Detours thing, from the trailer at least, I mean I don't think its something I will watch myself but I don't hate it. Its pretty clearly targeted at kids and I think it tailors to that target audience pretty well.

That being said I would greatly prefer it if Lucasarts funded Star Wars Battlefront 3 instead. I agree with you though, it would be a better use of money to fund this fanmade series instead.

Ehh, not really into the whole style. Which is strange considering I generally like Anime.

Now if you excuse me I'm off to watch Star Wars: Clone Wars again.

This is how you introduce a villain.

I love that series, should have gone on longer. Also that is how you make a villain deadly and bad ass at the same time.

As for the op, I would love this see more of that series.

That was well done, although if it ever became a "thing" I would never want to hear a TIE Fighter again after 10 minutes of it.
