Star Wars: Attack Squadrons Cancelled

They're running out of Star Wars titles to cancel. Pretty soon, they're going to have to start coming up with new games just to can.

They can always cancel the next animated series and then the movies.

AS long the new Battlefront doesn't get cancelled, Idon't really cared for any other Star Wars related game getting cancelled either.

Am I the only one who sees the cancelation of a browser based SW fighter game as a hopeful sign that Disney may have opted to instead focus resources at a real full blown space fighter game and doesn't want the brand and play style tarnished in the meantime? I think we just saw the chances of getting a new XWing/ Tie Fighter game go up.

I think we just saw the chances of getting a new XWing/ Tie Fighter game go up.

God, I wish. I don't have much faith in such a thing ever happening (this is Disney and EA we're talking about, after all), but I would jump at the opportunity.

Hell, they don't even have to come up with anything new. Just do an HD remake of the X-Wing games for modern PCs that retains the gameplay and dynamic soundtrack. I'd buy that in a heartbeat.

Not a big PVP or browser game fan, so I am not heart broken.

It did look intriguing, and I would have been stoked to see a step towards space/dogfighting sims (Star Wars universe) take place (bringing us closer to another X-wing v Tie-Fighter, Tie-Fighter, X-Wing, X-Wing Alliance, etc...). But i cannot say that I am extremely bummed out about this.

Judging from some of the other replies it sounds like no great loss.

Ooo! Ooo! Maybe, it was so awesome that they decided to make a fully featured PC/Console game out of it and basically make it an all new X-Wing/Tie Fighter game!

...yeah, never going to happen.

Ah, that opening statement takes me back to the days when people looked forward to games....
