I think it's revealing that the brilliant minds behind this game are the same to name the fourth entry in the series "2".

How long does anyone expect the "Battlefront 1" servers to last? Pretty soon, we're going to have online only games shut down the day of the next game's release.

As of the current time or writing there's only just under 21,000 people playing. At it's peak in the last 24 hours there were a grand smacking total of around 46,000 people playing. That's really not great for 3 platforms. There's some other links on there as well. At least battlefront is doing better than hardline but it's being blown out of the water by Battlefield 4.

Honestly though, I don't think Dice/EA will change anything at all so long as people keep buying the games they churn out.

It is frightening that there are so many games nowadays that are basically unplayable due to companies shutting down servers (and not even have the decency to let people create their own servers).

So....the first one is already being cast aside, a movie cash-in designed to get as much money as possible, as quickly as possible before being replaced in under two years? So glad I haven't spent money on this.
