What I'm saying is that recently I've had some information from a source I can't name saying that development has been resumed.

Ah, the Battlefront series. I bought the first one for PC and found it to be a very solid Battlefield clone. It was fun, the setting was great (yeah, Star Wars==cool), and it was just interesting to experience the conflict from a perspective that isn't that of a space samurai. Uhm, by perspective I mean reliving the battles...
My brother got the second one for his XBox, and it was even better. The space battles were a ton of fun, the playable Jedi, the new vehicles, planets, etc. It took the concept of a Battlefield game, and added mountains of stuff onto, to the point where it outshined its inspiration. A truly great game...
Well, I might actually get a new PC at some point, so this all the more incentive.
W()()T THAT WOULD BE AMAZING!!! Another Battlefield would be the best game ever and if they still stick to the same formula there is no way it could possible fail. Although I would like to make my own custom unit.
I remember the leak and the screen-shots from forever ago, but then it just kinda fell off the map. I remember being really stoked for Battlefront on XBL... and then it got tossed into production hell and never emerged. Honestly I don't have much hope that it'll ever see the light of day...and no I won't say "The force isn't strong with this one."
The Battlefront trailer in the OP now is from the Free Radical version which got canned over a year ago when they went into administration. Shame when it looked like a good game as well.

i will be very excited if this game comes out, my ps2 memory card easily is filled to the max with bf2 saves and games played, i probably burned that game to a crisp with how many hours i poured into it (roughly 50,000 kills)
well i'll have to check it out when it comes closer to see what ill be getting it on...i might go for pc if i see any real differences, otherwise my ps3, or 360 if they get it (my hands meld to that controller like peanutbutter on jelly)

I hope it tightens up a bit. I always enjoyed battlefront, but there were always a few tiny little things that kept it from being one of my favorites
