Rushed scripts? George Lucas had been working on the prequel scripts for years.EbonBehelit said:Oh dear..... It's not a good idea to rush the script, especially since the biggest problem with the Prequel Trilogy was the rushed scripts.
That is because most of us know how this story will go. If you like all of their Pirate movies, Trons and that Wizard Oz thing they did...then you will probably like the Star Wars.Li Mu said:Lets face it; everyone will hate it no matter how it turns out.

With all respect, I don't like any of those movies. I don't like any of the live action Marvel and DC super stuff. It's just not my thing.arc1991 said:*Cough* Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Avengers *cough*Itchi_da_killa said:That is because most of us know how this story will go. Remember, Disney owns Marvel, anything Marvel do has to go through Disney, and undoubtedly Disney puts in their own input as well.
As a semi-devoted Trekkie (I won't be dragged into Kirk vs. Picard arguments as an example) I actually liked Abrams version. Mainly because of the casting, which in my view fit the tone of the 'verse. Change history, change the tone. Plus having Pegg as Scotty was awesome, Quinto did a damn fine job of doing Spock (and a damn cool commercial with Nimoy). So all in all I can forgive his artistic "flares" (see what I did there?) in light of the enjoyment factor I got with the movies. They weren't on a scale with Voyage Home or The Undiscovered Country, but they were a damn sight better than The Final Frontier, Motion Picture and Insurrection.ThunderCavalier said:Some people (namely the people that loved the series) didn't like some of the changes Abrams did to the lore.Jasper van Heycop said:What did he do to Star Trek, except make it watchable and enjoyable?Mcoffey said:Bust! Come on Disney! There's still time for you to do the right thing! Don't let JJ Abrams do what he did to Star Trek to another priceless sci-fi series! You can be the heroes the world needs, even if you're not what they deserve!
Personally, I enjoyed the first Star Trek movie from Abrams, but I'm not a Trekkie, so I don't have any nostalgia from the previous series to judge anything on.
