Maybe it is just me but it seems like Lucas Arts has just let a large amount of games wither and die on the vine. For instance, Star Wars Republic Commandos, probably my favorite fps ever. They even set it up for a sequel that didn't come.

That is far from the only example however, Star wars Battlefront II. That was also in my opinion a really good fps, I would like to see it brought into the next generation. I thought the space combat was fun and interesting, and I would go so far as to say the hero units weren't immensely overpowered.

Star Wars Empire at War (and Forces of corruption). The idea of going from planet to planet and gaining their resources and building etc... Was pretty good when applied to Star Wars, the factions were balanced and the strategic side had some strategy to it, I thought it was a pretty good RTS.

Knights of the Old Republic (and Sith Lords) I liked this RPG as well, and while they needn't continue on from the story, nor even the same time, another game with the same concept would be really cool.

Maybe this is just my over nerdy side taking over but I really liked all these games and want to see a sequel. Last I heard Star Wars Battlefront 3 had been scrapped and I haven't heard anything on KotOR in over a year. Where did these games go? Am I the only one looking for sequels to these?

Battlefront II wasn't a FPS, and they are making a Battlefront III, but its gonna be a while.

KOTOR is being turned into a MMO.

And theres more good Star Wars games than Star Wars movies.

My bet is thats cause Lucas isnt involved in them so much...

I think that they either A) hate us fans.
B) are afraid of making money or
C) all of the above.

I would kill to get my hands on a sequel to any of the games you mentioned.

I personally loved the Battle Fronts, and although I never played it Republic Commando looked really good. I hope they release a new BF on the current consoles....(But they don't change a thing)

Republic Commando was very fun, if a little short (though that's pretty common in games now). It's probably incredibly cheap by now, and is well worth picking up. I'm still in a rage that they haven't announced a sequel. I want to know what happened to Sev, dammit!

I think that lately George Lucas just hates doing anything positive with Star Wars franchise.

I loved all the games mentioned, but I have one small question.

Am I the only one who still wants a Republic Commando sequel?

How is it not a first person shooter? The default might be over the shoulder but you can just change that...

Sev lived but wandered away and was devoured by Rahkghouls.

Surely they could easily remake X-Wing, TIE Fighter and X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter. Not only are there great single player opportunities to be had, but the multiplayer experience could be tremendous...

If you enjoyed Republic Commando, I highly suggest the book series of the same name. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars_Republic_Commando_series] I never played the game myself, but the books are some of the best in the Star Wars Expanded Universe.

I remember seeing some artwork from Battlefront III a couple of months back. Apparently, it was in limbo for awhile due to some design studio getting shut down, but now it's back on track.

I can't say much about Empire at War, since I never played it. Honestly, I was never much of a fan of the RTS genre.

As for KOTOR... An MMO is coming, but I'm not exactly tripping over myself to get at it. See, I'm one of the very few Star Wars fans who played both KOTOR games and actually didn't care for them. I found them tedious and clunky, to be perfectly honest. Maybe the MMO will change that, but until then, I can live without another KOTOR.
