Which is your favourite and why? Mine's Star Wars, merely because I found the world immersive, and the Jedi/Sith remind me of Samurai.
er, well then, I just hope people can be responsible and not get carried away, there's no correct answer as it's entirely subjective, just thought it'd be an interesting thought for people to wake up to and I'm curious as to what has had impact on people's lives.XinfiniteX said:My oh my... As a quick note, vs. threads are not looked upon kindly here as they have a tendency to devolve into massive flame wars.
Yes loads of people will get all personal about this subject, which is sad as both worlds are better than reality. But it's just the aspects of each world that people like is what I'm interested in.SakSak said:*Versus Warning: Thread sliding into fanboy argumentation predicted*
OT: Personally, I prefer Star Wars - a galactic empire of ridiculous proportions, good and bad individuals in all species, clear-cut and not-quite-clear-cut evil in many forms, plantes ranging from uninhapitable rocks into planet-wide megacities. Whereas Trek setting feels a bit... more cliche on the whole. Many races have a highly typical stereotypes what aren't broken all that often, the Federation is run by idiots and Plot!Immunity! and while many of the series and movies have been good there is only so much of "Who shall Kirk seduce next?" one man can take before it becomes boring.
But then again, there are equal moments of awesome in both settings.
