Ok so sorry for being a total noob and all in the forums.
I didn't take the time to read the rules and regulations and stuff. So i apologize.
I'm editing my post now.
I'll post the reviews here i guess.
so the first one:
Star Wars-Starfighter
Well, what can i say? Not a game that amazes you. It was developed in '03 or something like that, so it's rather old. But I'm not discussing age here so let's get to it.
When you think of the Star Wars series you obviously think of the Jedi. But you can't argue the fact that there is allot of spaceship-battles going on in the movie (especially episodes 4 and 5). So Lucas Arts decided to exploit this part of the movie as well. It started earlier in the '90s with X-Wing and others then Rouge Squadron(my personal fave) an then there was Starfighter.
Starfighter is a game that tries allot but for me it just doesn't do it. It tries to have some kind of story of it's own which is a total failure . It has videos but well, they are really awful especially the ones in which the characters appear. They are all in the dark and you can't really see their faces most of the time.It tries to have nice gameplay which is also a failure. If you don't have a joystick the mouse is pretty annoying and manoeuvrability is lacking . Controls are pretty ugly placed. Also the targeting system is really annoying. Let's say you have in front of you a building that you have to destroy. Your targeting system will sure be on some Scarab or such (Scarab is some kind of enemy ship) . So you pres D(which is the button that let's you navigate through enemies with your target) and of course the game will target another scarab than a turret so on, so on. When you finally manage to target the building it goes boom(meaning that you destroy it) . So what's the point in that? Well , it has a small good part. Your targeting system sets on a Scarab for example , but it is really far so you don't really see it (also the terrain and the enemies look pretty much alike so you find yourself shooting at dust particles most of the time) , that's were the targeting system helps you. You see the target and just start shooting in the middle of it hoping that you will hit something.
Star Wars -Starfighter is a game only because of it's name, the theme and maybe the shear pleasure of destroying things using a laser cannon while almost blindfolded.
If you're a Star Wars fan you could try it but in my opinion you'll get bored pretty easily . If you're not a Star Wars fan at all than i recommend staying away from this game and if you want to blast something from a spacecraft than try playing Rouge Squadron.
-Thanks for reading
(and sorry again for my mistake)
