Ok so sorry for being a total noob and all in the forums.
I didn't take the time to read the rules and regulations and stuff. So i apologize.

I'm editing my post now.
I'll post the reviews here i guess.

so the first one:

Star Wars-Starfighter

Well, what can i say? Not a game that amazes you. It was developed in '03 or something like that, so it's rather old. But I'm not discussing age here so let's get to it.

When you think of the Star Wars series you obviously think of the Jedi. But you can't argue the fact that there is allot of spaceship-battles going on in the movie (especially episodes 4 and 5). So Lucas Arts decided to exploit this part of the movie as well. It started earlier in the '90s with X-Wing and others then Rouge Squadron(my personal fave) an then there was Starfighter.

Starfighter is a game that tries allot but for me it just doesn't do it. It tries to have some kind of story of it's own which is a total failure . It has videos but well, they are really awful especially the ones in which the characters appear. They are all in the dark and you can't really see their faces most of the time.It tries to have nice gameplay which is also a failure. If you don't have a joystick the mouse is pretty annoying and manoeuvrability is lacking . Controls are pretty ugly placed. Also the targeting system is really annoying. Let's say you have in front of you a building that you have to destroy. Your targeting system will sure be on some Scarab or such (Scarab is some kind of enemy ship) . So you pres D(which is the button that let's you navigate through enemies with your target) and of course the game will target another scarab than a turret so on, so on. When you finally manage to target the building it goes boom(meaning that you destroy it) . So what's the point in that? Well , it has a small good part. Your targeting system sets on a Scarab for example , but it is really far so you don't really see it (also the terrain and the enemies look pretty much alike so you find yourself shooting at dust particles most of the time) , that's were the targeting system helps you. You see the target and just start shooting in the middle of it hoping that you will hit something.

Star Wars -Starfighter is a game only because of it's name, the theme and maybe the shear pleasure of destroying things using a laser cannon while almost blindfolded.

If you're a Star Wars fan you could try it but in my opinion you'll get bored pretty easily . If you're not a Star Wars fan at all than i recommend staying away from this game and if you want to blast something from a spacecraft than try playing Rouge Squadron.

-Thanks for reading

(and sorry again for my mistake)

Hope you like it.
Hey there, and welcome to The Escapist. I hate to introduce you in such a dry and bureaucratic way, but I encourage you to double-check the Forum Guidelines [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.84119].

That said, I'd like to highlight a particular passage. That being this one:

Apologies for this necessary addition, but welcome to the forums. If you have any questions about the goings-on, the you can post in the Guidelines thread with question, and I'm open to any questions from your as well.

Warmest regards,

Actually the game was released in America in early 2001, before being ported to the Xbox and PC in late 2001 and early 2002, respectively. Not picking on you here, I just like to have facts straight when it comes to things I care for.

As for the review itself, once I got over the frequent minor grammatical errors (oh, I do so hate Engrish) I realised that the entire feature is really too short to go into much detail. Clearly your complaints were the awkard controls and poor visibility, but other than that you barely touched on the game. With some expansion (and a good read-through to find incorrect punctuation etc.) you could have a quality game examination here.

From my personal experience on the PS2 version, I must say that the PC port sounds far inferior. It was never a fantastic title, but it was competent and well worth the miniscule amount of capital needed to acquire it in this day and age.

One last thing: when did you write this review? According to Wiki, most normal PCs can't run Starfighter anymore so do you just have an old model or is this feature a few years old now?

Excuse my grammatical errors , but i am from another country so english is not my natal tongue and i am only 15 years old so i tend to make mistakes .

I have to say that i wrote this review a couple of days ago but i did it from memories. I haven't played the game in ages. I know i should've i just wanted to get familliar with what people expect from a review .So i chose this game mainly because it was a small title in my opinion (sorry if i offend any Star Wars fans but i am one myself) and because i didn't want to waste my "test" review (if you can call it that) on a game that i could actually say more about.

I realize i didn't present the game as i should have and sorry for the year problem, but as i told you i did not document myself too much on this game and i apologize for that.

-Thank you, Gokimster

Ah well thanks for the speedy and comprehensive response. Most people on the internet have worse English than you despite it being their *first* language, so a few passable mistakes are not a massive problem. If this was a test, then I can only recommend a full review in the future. So there you are: positive feedback ^_^

Thank you !
For the positive feedback and the criticism too. I do think that it is the most constructive part of feedback.

I am working on a full review. Currently playing the game (not making the same mistake this time) . Star Wars- Jedi Knight -Jedi Academy.

Thank you again ^_^

More Star Wars, you say? Hell, why not? Give it your all.

Plus I now see that you too are a fan of my favourite little smiley-thing, namely this chap-

^_^

So all-purpose and amazing, he is.
