Im not sure but isnt it because since they live in such a dense atmosphere if you kill one off of their planet they would explode? which is why they need their suits?

Actually, the suits is what causes them to explode. If shot, they die a violent explosion.

I am sorry, but that is incorrect. EDIT: Asajja Ventress was never really his apprentice, Palpatine simply refers to her as a disciple.(I forgot, she didn't die at the end of the clonewars cartoons, just disappeared) the correct answer would be Komari Vosa.
