Earlier today, Blizzard opened up the beta for their upcoming game Starcraft II for Mac users.

Blizzard said:
The StarCraft II Mac beta client is now available for testing on North American servers, and we encourage Mac users to download this client through Battle.net and begin testing. We plan on expanding the Mac beta to support additional regions and languages in the near future.
Have any of you downloaded the Mac client yet? How's the performance? Is the Galaxy Editor included, or will we Mac-people have to wait?

Some details on this would be appreciated, as Blizzard didn't really give us much info.

Yeah, if you've never followed a Blizzard game's development in your life, maybe. This sort of timeline is par for them; it's always been that way. You know what they say, "fool me once," etc. etc.

To be honest I don't really see a point of releasing a beta on Mac.
Everyone knows that the game will never release for Mac.

Most Blizzard games are compatible with both PC and Mac.

That hasn't changed for years.

Don't give the guy the satisfaction, he's quite obviously trolling.
Threads about things related to Macs pretty much always get a few trolls.

Ah, I see.

Well, I never played the first Starcraft. I've seen some videos of SCII, but it just looks like another RTS to me...

It's the capabilities of the editor that excite me the most. People are already putting together custom UIs for third-person games in it. Custom games were always the draw of Wacraft 3, to me.
