We?re pleased to announce that all players who purchase the Southeast Asia/Australia/New Zealand version of StarCraft® II: Wings of Liberty? will also have the option of playing on North American servers following the launch.
Obviously it needs to be downloaded, and 60 days but that's not the worst of it.Our intention is to make it available within 60 days of launch -- at that time, players with a copy of the Southeast Asia/Australia/New Zealand version of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty will automatically gain the option to download the North American version of the game client through Battle.net®
ಠ_ಠQ: How will my friends list and rankings be handled?
A: All account-specific data, including friends lists, rankings, achievements, statistics, titles, and unlockable rewards, will be tracked separately for each region's Battle.net servers, and will not carry over between them.
I'm very fortunate to posses my box.Netrosis said:Nah, That's the regular box.
I was quite sad that they were doing a very limited run of the Collectors Edition. I unfortunately couldn't afford to lay down at deposit at the time it was announced and I missed out. I was really looking forward to the Soundtrack & other stuff that comes with it.
It's a very artistic game in both Graphics and Audio. Not to mention the awesome USB stick.![]()
It was that limited? When I went to get mine at GAME, they said they had lots of Collector's Editions, so you could buy one without a pre-order. Although I did pre-order mine. Better to be on the safe side.Netrosis said:Nah, That's the regular box.Wizzie said:Is this your collectors edition!?Netrosis said:So it's the 27th here in Australia and I have received my copy of Starcraft 2.

The single player is absolutely fantastic, very varied and fun and there's a ton of difficulty settings so anyone could get into it. The multiplayer is more orientated towards a hardcore style RTS, very fast paced and strategically varied, but it sounds very much like vanilla SC2 multiplayer isn't your cup of tea.Katana314 said:I absolutely suck at RTS games, causing me to despise all apart from the few I had a chance to get good with. I played Company of Heroes, a Game of the Year winner, for about two hours before deciding that my book report was actually sounding more fun. That said, Starcraft 1 is one of those "few games".
How is this game at bringing back an FPS gamer who honestly could not give two flying firetrucks about any RTS that's come out in the past 10 years? Is it a pros-only game? Is it combat-only and no-basebuilding? etc
I've been getting 1v1s consistently in under 30s in SEA (1 practice, ~10 bronze, ~5 silver), maybe the servers were down or something? Seems fine now.Netrosis said::OArkhangelsk said:It was that limited? When I went to get mine at GAME, they said they had lots of Collector's Editions, so you could buy one without a pre-order. I don't think there are any GAME shops nearby here. I couldn't find it on their website either.
Oh well. I bet the Soundtrack is gonna get torrented, maybe the art book too.
After finishing the Single Player Campaign I'm severely disappointed with the multiplayer experience. The servers are a ghost town, I had to wait about 3 mins to find a 1v1 match (practise league) for my first game. :/
I'd hate to be in a higher tier ladder.
Custom Maps need to be uploaded, and currently there are two custom maps on the SEA servers. That's it.
It's pretty bad.
I think it's a pretty bad failure on Blizzard's behalf, especially since it is such a Multi-player based/designed game and they dropped $100 Million on it. I really was expecting better from them.
