So, now that SCII has been out for awhile, what do you want in a Patch/Update?

NOTE: Anything having to do with DRM or Battle.net (other than bugs in its use) is not what I'm asking about. This isn't a thread to post your rant against DRM, Battle.net or Activison/Blizzard.

Personally, I'd like to see them add the Firebats and Medics back into MP. Not because of personal unit preference, but because of how badly it affects the Terrans early game. The general agreement even on Battle.net is that against several kinds of rushes (including Banelings, Seven Pool Zerg, and some form of Protoss rush I can't remember), the Terrans have almost no way to defend against it unless the Terran player is psychic and predicts it is going to happen and diverts their attention to just stopping that rush even before they scout. This isn't cool, and not having Medics means that Terran infantry don't have any heals without relying on the fragile, defenseless and slow-to-get Medivac.

Also, adjusting the MM to seperate Parties from PUG would be nice.

I doubt the rush problem is a problem just for terrains, and every RTs I've ever looked into (original starcraft, age of empires etc, they always have some kind of rush) always had people talking about how the rushes available in the game can't be defended unless you bet on it happening and only counter that strategy, so I'm inclined to say it's just the weight on the genre we still haven't learned to design the game around.

and I think giving the terrains medics would severely unbalance the game, just a few medics makes a big difference in the effectiveness of the group. and if you did find a way to balance things with the medics, most likely the rushes would be back with whatever slight modification needed.

Holy gods, this. Last thing I need is for that annoying, early horde of Marines and a few Marauders, Stimpacks all around, to have a few medics behind them.

Uh... I can't think of anything I personally want changed, but my friends say the Nydus Worm needs some sort of nerf. That it should either take longer, or it makes a sound upon surfacing. I think they're just upset I use it against them.

Let's see...

Get rid of the popularity system for multiplayer custom maps: The popularity system just makes it all the more harder for custom map makers to get their maps tested.

Make a maps folder for custom maps: It's ridiculous in the amount of steps needed to test and use a map. You should not need a battle.net account to make a map, as well as having to submit it for publishing it online for people to download off of Blizzard's computer. A maps folder makes this a whole lot easier to organize on the customer's level.

Also, I'm pretty sure you only need a couple of siege tanks to stop a rush - worked in 1, haven't tried 2...
The problem with these new SCII rushes is that players can get to them before a Terran can get to Seige Tanks, or even if they get to Siege Tanks, they can edge by them, devastate their economy, leaving the Terran player helpless.

Yes, that secret mission thing is something does need to be fixed. I'd completely forgotten about that.

While I miss the old units too, the last thing terran needs right now is more or better anything. Terran is borderline imba v zerg as it is (no, really).

So I guess I think that terran needs tuning down a little, but I'm not quite sure how to do this. I think that increasing the cost of medevacs may help (either in resources or build time), but I'm no RTS designer.

What i kinda wish is if we could play Solo or Co-op games with campaign units. Just like, have the option.

Medics were a big part of my strategy playing brutal and its odd not having them when me and my friends play agaisnt the CPU.

Outside of that make it so custom maps are separate from regular maps, its not that big of a deal to have to cycle through them but it would be cool.
