So I'm pissed off. My mate just called me to tell me he received his copy of StarCraft 2 on Friday.
The release date is not for two days yet.
He pre-ordered from Play.com and apparently they're allowed to break release dates. Why did no-one tell me this? I ordered from Amazon.
Happily he only has a mid-range graphic card hasn't been able to play the game yet, but he's turning all the graphical settings down when he gets home from work to see if that works. I'm so jealous right now.
So, does anyone know a way I can avoid this from happening in future and always find out which shops are releasing early?
The link to the product as proof [http://www.play.com/Games/PC/4-/3432909/StarCraft-II-Wings-Of-Liberty/Product.html], I wouldn't bother ordering now, I doubt you'll get it any earlier than release date.
And; the official launch date [http://eu.battle.net/sc2/en/pre-download?ref=/sc2/].
EDIT: It allowed him to register. Turns out this is the official launch for Play as they had some sort of exclusive, that wasn't advertised for no reason I can see.
