StarDrive Space 4X game

4X games based in space have always been a genre I really enjoy.

From GalCiv 2 to Endless Space.
So I was pleased to find out that a little indi game called StarDrive was on steam.
I've been reading about it and so far it sounds like a lot of fun.

But I was wondering if anyone has any experience with it?
Any good, or bad things to say about it.

I know it's still in BETA, but I prefer to inform myself before buying something.

No idea but I'm curious myself.

Ditto curious. I like the limited firing arcs and directional armor on ships - fully customizeable space ships.

Not too fond of real-time empire management but it could be fun for this game.
