Staying up until Thursday night

I was just talking to my flatmate about how I have to write two 3000 word essays on completely different subjects by thursday for uni, and I foolishly ended up betting her I could stay awake until Thursday night. Because of this, I thought I'd ask nice folks at the escapist for some tips, if anyone has any to share. I'm open to anything, drugs, food, drinks, behaviour that will keep me going, just anything that will both keep me up and keep me in a position to write.

For a small sum of $1000 I can do your assignment for you, leaving you only to worry about how to entertain yourself for that period.

Sleeping would much more likely produce better essays. Two days is plenty of time. That's only 3,000 words a day. Easily do-able.

Whatever caffeine-infused substance you want to use will help keep you up, but, like I said, sleeping would be much better for your writing.

I want it done well, not just bashed out quickly. I need to know how much you know on the historical context of 'A Clockwork Orange' (the film), and also about China's early interactions with the European superpowers.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you would get a better essay if you slept and budgeted your time better. Y'know, instead of coming here. (Massive hypocrite speaking)

But if you must do this, whenever you are about to fall asleep, either go for a run or take a shower. Preferably both. These are amazing ways to wake you up.

That is a very, very bad idea. Most people can't make it 48 hours (now to Wednesday night). By the end, you'll either be passing out or physically ill, but probably both.

And your essay will not get finished. If you do manage to squeeze out 3000 words, half of them will be the equivalent of being written while stoned on five different hallucinogens.

I'd like to say, fuck the essays. While it's important, I'm stupid enough to not see this as the main point, it was just the reason the conversation started. The real point is the fact I have to stay up because I bet her £1 I would.

If you really need to stay up for days, there is a substance out there that gets the job done. Im not gonna say it out loud for obvious reasons.

The stuff for your paper looks like something you can google real quick. It shouldnt take 3 days.

well it's not that I need to know the answers, I obviously know how I would simply answer the questions. I need to write a well-written essay backed up by a variety of sources, but also, like I said, the essays weren't meant to be the main reason I was asking this. I wish I had access to the substances you speak of, sadly I don't have particularly good contacts, so it's not easily available to me.

Well, if you're willing to ruin your sleep pattern for a good couple of weeks and possibly fuck up your essays, all for £1, sure, go for it.

But if you really wanna do this, log out of forums, Facebook, wherever you visit, put some music on that you can relax to and just go to work. And drink lots of energy drinks.

I sincerely doubt it will fuck up my sleep pattern for a couple of weeks. I've done long periods before, and after sleeping for about 24 hours straight it's pretty much back to normal. I don't think my essays will suffer particularly, and obviously if I get unbearably tired I'll screw it and go to sleep, I'm just trying to have a bit of fun.

Well just until thursday night, I guess it's possible, I mean I once didn't sleep for 5 days, I would give you tips on how to do it but I was in the woods camping and all I can tell you is that you don't want to do that, I was hallucinating by the end of the week and I could barely stand up and walk, also when I got home I passed out and woke up 3 days later, so YOU REALLY DON'T WANT TO DO THAT!
