I am cooking steaks. What does the escapist use for steak seasoning/marinading?

I use, Season salt, terryki sauce, Dale's Steak sauce, Worcestershire sauce, hickory smoke seasoning and a dash of rock salt.

This is going to sound crazy, but Iron Chef General Tao's sauce.

Not that a good steak needs, or even should have a marinade.

For a rub, I use McCormick Montreal Steak rub if I have it, or a home-made batch of spices of similar composition if I don't. For a marinade, I make one up out of soy sauce, olive oil, brown sugar, red pepper flakes, sesame seeds, and mustard seed. Any of the three ways can be delicious.

Teriyaki and Worcestershire, mostly. Sometimes teriyaki lime.

...that's half a lie, it's usually my dad who cooks steaks (with those things). The stuff I cook, I usually cook in soy sauce, mirin, and olive oil.

Not that I haven't thought of trying those out on steak, mind you.

I dry rub salt, a little pepper, and maybe a few other mild seasonings into my steaks.

Then again, I eat my steaks medium rare, and I like the taste of straight up beef.
