I usually play FPS games, but lately I've been somewhat intrigued with stealth. I wish I had a PS3 to play MGS4 with, but I'm a poor bastard (and still waiting for that price drop Sony!! And you too, Microsoft!! When is LIVE gonna get a discount?!).

So far, the only stealth games I know are Assassain's Creed and Splinter Cell. Can anyone suggest other good stealth games currently out for the Xbox 360? Or are coming out this summer? And hopefully multiplayer? TY in advance.

The thing with most stealth games is that they can normally be played as straight up action games if you get frustrated with stealthing around, which often times defeats the purpose of stealth. Still, it's incredibly satisfying to complete an assassination in Assassin's Creed using only stealth, and I've been playing with a lot more focus on stealth for my second time around, as I just picked it back up. If you have the Conviction (can't wait for it), you should get any stealth game that is recommended and try to use only your stealth, while trying to bear in mind that it can in fact be played as a straight up action title.

If you're that poor, but have some friends you can play with, you can always meet up and play Hide and Seek.

Try Tenchu Z. Some people just run straight into combat, but you can play as a stealth game. It's not the best rated, but still worth checking out, and it's cheap enough for poor gamers.

I agree with Yahtzee's statement about Stealth games requiring a vast huge world to explore to have more than just 1 way to sneak up on enemies. Assassin's Creed would've been a good series, but its not more on stealthing, but more on stalking.

The closest to the most appealing stealth game with non-linear areas is MGS 4 which is also weak in the stealth genre considering you can put to sleep anyone rather than sneak away from them.

How can the first response not be the Thief series?

Just check it out, you won't be disappointed, the third one's not out on the 360 but the Xbox.

The only time Metal Gear Solid can truly be called a proper stealth game is if you are playing it on European Extreme, because if you are seen, it's game over. Splinter Cell is a true stealth game, MGS is if it's on EE.

Get Metal Gear Solid 1 for the PC.

But I hear Tenchu is coming for the 360 if its not out already. If so go get it now.

Hitman: Blood Money.

Awesome game, it has a huge amount of replayability as well.

Assassin's Creed only has light stealth elements, so if you're going for the full stealth experience, I'd advise against getting that game.

If you have a Playstation 2, I highly recommend Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence.

Thief, as someone mentioned before, is great. You need a PC for it, though. But if you can, pick it up. It shows its age graphically, but the gameplay is fun.

Hitman: Blood Money. You can play it as either a shooter or stealth game, it's very flexible that way. And because of the open world, there's a lot to do and many ways to do it, so it's fun to replay.

Metal Gear Solid 2, if you've never played it, was made for Xbox and will work on your 360. There's a bonus level or two where you play as Solid Snake in the Xbox edition, actually, so if you can, go pick it up.
