It's not 'hacking' if you give someone your password and username, and they hijack your account, eh? Hacking implies use of a third-party program. The word we're looking for is 'careless'.

I got a message like that on Xbox LIVE the other day. It went something like "hy guys listn up ive have this porgram on my pc wich makes micorosoft point codes i can put 40000 points in ur acount all i need is ur log in name ans pssword". I'm not even kidding. I pity the fool who replied to that guy to give him his password...
A good general rule is to nevar evar trust anybody on the Internets. (Or in life in general, but I digress.)

I've never had my Steam hacked. But that's because I'm extremely cautious on my web browsing and don't click stuff like that.
