I find the lack of mention that Bloodlines is 75% off, disappointing.
Get it, get it now. It's the perfect price.
I'd been thinking about giving this game a try for a while now, and you make a very compelling pitch for it. Well, I know what I'm buying from this sale now.

Here's what I'm considering.
1. Walking Dead (have not played)
2. Dead Rising 2 (have not played)
3. Rage (have not played)
4. Dead Island (have not played)
And finally the New Vegas special edition with all the DLC. I HAVE played that to completion, but I'm not totally adverse to playing it again with all the new stuff and maybe some mods.
I haven't played Walking Dead, but I've heard
a lot of good things about it. Mostly that it's one of the very, very few games out there that uses moral choices
effectively. I may or may not pick this up, depending on how much spare cash I have tonight when I get home.
I picked up Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record during the summer sale, and I had a blast with them. They're basically the exact same game as the first with some small improvements here and there, but if you liked the first one you'll like this one too. I wouldn't really recommend DR2: Off the Record unless you
really like Frank West, though. It makes some minor changes to the story, reskins on of the Psychopaths into a different character, adds in one new Psychopath, and adds in one additional (fairly small) zone that you won't be spending much time in. I had a lot of fun with it (I really like Frank West), but I definitely wouldn't recommend buying it unless you can pick it up during a sale.
Dead Island was admittedly pretty unimpressive to me. I played it Co-Op when it first came out, and the game had a plethora of problems. Many of the crippling bugs got patched, but the game still has some inherent flaws. Some of the characters and weapon classes are practically worthless (Ex: Logan, the throwing specialist... I hope you love losing all of your rare and powerful weapons, because you absolutely will at some point throw one of them and have it completely disappear, end up in an inaccessible area, or stolen by another player!). The story is pretty abysmal, and the gameplay is at times mind-bogglingly terrible. The most effective combat style in the game doesn't even require you to have any weapons at all... just kick a zombie as it shambles or runs toward you so that it falls over, then stomp on its skull for an instant kill (you'll get soooooooo tired of the sound effect your character makes during kicks and stomps by the end of the game). I dunno... Dead Island had some fun moments, but for me, most of them came out of making fun of all the things that were dumb about the game with the person I was playing Co-Op with. I definitely wouldn't recommend this for solo play.
As for the New Vegas DLC... I had a lot of fun with it. I'm a bit of a Fallout fanboy though, so take this with a grain of salt. I freaking LOVED the Dead Money DLC. Most people seem to say it's their least favorite, but I absolutely love the Survival/Horror-esque atmosphere and gameplay. It's also by far the most challenging of the DLC packs, both in terms of gameplay difficulty and in terms of skill level requirements for maximum rewards. It's easily my favorite. The next DLC, Honest Hearts, was kind of a disappointment. It's really short, and the new area isn't particularly interesting. It adds in characters that should have been incredibly interesting, but didn't do a whole lot with them. If you like using handguns though, Honest Hearts adds in a .45ACP Colt M1911 as well as a unique version of it (the unique being, in my opinion, the best overall handgun in the game by leaps and bounds). The third DLC, Old World Blues, is the one that many consider to be the best of the four - it's my second favorite. Lots of quirky science humor, some great voice acting (Rusty Venture!!!!), and a fairly interesting and reasonably large zone. The last DLC, Lonesome Road... eh... it's alright. As a DLC it's reasonably fun, but it kinda drops the ball on the Ulysses story arc. The new weapons it adds are fun, and the new zone is visually interesting though incredibly linear.
For whatever any of that may be worth to you, I hope it helps!
