This is probably the wrong board to post this thread in but -- is Steam down for anybody else?

I just bought a snazzy computer to play Skyrim on Ultra (GOODBYE MEDIUM QUALITY MWUAHAHA) but I cannot install the client. I have a feeling it's down but is anybody else struggling to access it?

If it is down is anybody getting frustrated? This is the problem with moving onto digital games which require constant online maintenance. It's late evening, Tuesday night and my week off so I am seriously at a loss concerning what to do. Nowhere is open on a Tuesday so I can hardly go out lol.

What do... non-gamers do?

Well, I have to problems. I just restarted Steam and it ran fine. Launched a game, still no hiccups. I don't have Skyrim currently installed, though.

Are you sure you have internet...OK, this probably sounds stupid because you obviously wrote here somehow, but still, I'm not sure if you're writing from the same computer. Other than that, are there any error messages while installing Steam? What does it do - nothing, just hangs, something else? Make sure you don't have antivirus/firewall blocking it.

Welcome to the living hell called "reality". The world without games is truly a horrific and unbearable place to inhabit. I do not envy your situation, I mist say. There are those who say that in a world without games people do something called "being productive", but I must admit this phrase is alien to me. Perhaps it means more to you.

Oh, and Steam is fine for me. It seems they've just implemented the new community features, so maybe that's got something to do with it.
